History with Doehring, Winders & Co.,
LLP:
Steve joined the Firm in January 1985, after working for Price Waterhouse
from July 1983 to January 1985.
He was admitted to the partnership in 1991.
Education:
Steve earned his B.S. in Business (majors in Accounting and Computer
Management) in 1983 from Eastern
Illinois University. He also earned his MBA in December
2006 from EIU.
Experience:
Steve serves many different types of clients and concentrates in the areas of
individual and business tax planning and preparation, and commercial
auditing. He also serves as the firm's Managing Partner and oversees the
Firm's Quality Control and Technology functions.
Professional Activities:
Steve is a member of the American Institute for Certified Public
Accountants. He is also a member
of the Illinois CPA Society, and once served as president of the Eastern
Chapter. He previously served on
the Eastern Illinois University Accountancy Advisory Board.
Civic Activities:
Steve is a director of Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, treasurer of the
Mattoon Area Community Foundation, member and past president of the Kiwanis
Club of Mattoon, member of the Immaculate Conception Church Parish Finance
Council, director of the Mattoon Junior Baseball League, and past treasurer
of the Mattoon Golf & Country Club.
Other:
Steve and his wife, Linda, have three sons, Mike, Chris, and Tony. He enjoys
sports and reading.
