Welcome to DOEHRING, WINDERS & CO. LLP! Doehring, Winders & Co. LLP has its origins as the Mattoon office of Murphey, Jenne & Jones, a large, multi-office practice located in Central Illinois. The Mattoon office was established in 1955. In the 1980's, Murphey, Jenne & Jones was merged into KMG Main Hurdman. The current firm began in January, 1987 when Derald C. Doehring and Charles D. Winders acquired the Mattoon office of that national firm and established their own firm, Doehring and Winders. On July 1, 1995, the Firm became a limited liability partnership and the Firm was named Doehring, Winders & Co. LLP. At the present, the Firm employs approximately 25 people. Our Mission & Philosophy The Firm strives to provide the highest possible quality of service to our clients, to meet our obligations to the public and to conform with the standards of our profession. The cornerstone of this effort is a peer review. Performed every three years, the peer review is a comprehensive, objective, external evaluation. Doehring, Winders & Co. LLP's last peer review was in 2007 and the Firm once again received an unqualified report. The Firm's philosophy is based on the fundamental concept that its reason for existence is to be of service to clients. This is accomplished by being sensitive to the needs of its clients and having capable personnel who can effectively provide the needed services. Emphasis on communication in all matters is the Firm's primary approach to providing service. This includes communication among firm members, between the Firm and its clients, and between the Firm and the community in which it practices, as well as within its profession. The Firm is progressive in this thinking and is constantly seeking better ways to provide quality service to its clients and better ways to provide career opportunities for its personnel.
