History with Doehring, Winders & Co.,
LLP:
Larry joined Doehring, Winders & Co. LLP in May 1984.
Education:
Larry earned his B.S. in Business in May 1984 from Eastern Illinois
University. He majored
in Accounting.
Experience:
Larry's experience includes individual, corporate, partnership, trust and
estate tax preparation, as well as audit, compilation and review services for
governmental, non-profit and for-profit entities. In addition, his experience
includes federal and state payroll taxes, 401(k) plan analysis and consulting
on various business matters.
Professional Activities:
Larry is a member of the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants
and the Illinois CPA Society. He
currently serves as Vice-President of the Eastern Illinois Estate Planning
Council. He has been a
participant in the School District Report Review and Advanced Governmental
Report Review Programs sponsored by the Illinois CPA Society. He has served
as discussion leader for many in-house training programs sponsored by
Doehring, Winders, & Co., LLP.
Civic Activities:
Larry is a member of the Mattoon Rotary Club, involved in the Club Webpage
and weekly newsletter. He has
served as Club Director for International Services, President-Elect and
President. He is a Paul Harris
Fellow and was selected Rotarian of the year in 2008. Larry also is currently serving as
Campaign Treasurer for State Senator Dale Righter and has served in that
position since 1999. Larry is
currently the Treasurer of the Salvation Army in Mattoon, IL
and has served since 2005. Larry
is a member of the Exchange Club of Mattoon, IL. He has served that organization as
Treasurer for four years and President.
He was selected as Exchangite of the Year in 1993. Larry is a member of the First
Presbyterian Church of Charleston, IL and has been a member of the Charleston
Chamber of Commerce for many years.
He has participated in the Charleston Soccer League as a youth soccer
coach for five years and has previously served as Treasurer for the Charleston, Illinois,
Chapter of the American Red Cross until its merger into the East Central
Illinois Chapter in 1999.
Other:
Larry and his wife Sharon have two sons, Scott and Jeremy. Scott is attending
Eastern Illinois
University, and Jeremy is attending Lake Land
College. Larry served as a member of the U.S.
Coast Guard from 1975 to 1979.
